PHE WMO Ready to Activate PHE-12 Platform
PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (WMO) has reactivated the PHE-12 offshore platform located 50 km from the shoreline of Bangkalan Regency, Madura, East Java. The activation was marked by the sailing away of the TopSide and the Pavilion Jacket which had been fabricated by PT Meindo Elang Indah at Handil Yard.
The PHE-12 Reactivation Project ceremony was held online, on Friday, September 11, 2020, attended by the Head of the Project Management and Facility Maintenance Division of SKK Migas Luky Yusgiantoro, PHE Development and Production Director Taufik Adityawarman, Regional Director 4 – East Indonesia Awang Lazuardi, and his management staff of PHE, PHE WMO and PT Meindo Elang Indah.
In his speech, Luky expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the success of the two companies in achieving the milestone of upstream oil and gas activities. "We hope that PHE WMO can achieve the target set to increase national oil and gas production reserves by prioritizing occupational safety and health," said Luky.
From the first cut (jacket fabrication) in February 2020 to the load out of TopSide and Jacket in July and August 2020, the project could be carried out without any work accidents, a total safe man-hours of 389,697 (zero man hour) and no confirmed cases of COVID-19 19 (zero COVID-19).
Various efforts to prevent Covid-19 were carried out in this project, such as maximizing monitoring activities, meetings, inspections and online training as well as implementing health protocols for workers in the field.
On the same occasion, Taufik emphasized that although this project activity was carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic, it did not dampen the work spirit of the entire team in completing the project which was carried out with the achievement of no incidents and no COVID-19 cases. “The TopSide and Jacket fabrication process for PHE-12 was carried out safely, safely and on time. This proves our commitment to continue to do our best according to the schedule and targets specified, "said Taufik.
General Manager of PHE WMO Dwi Mandhiri added that the next step is the installation activity which is expected to be successful and safe. So that in November 2020 the PHE-12 well can resume production.
PHE-12 reactivation aims to re-produce two existing wells, namely PHE-12 A1 and PHE-12 A3 which are expected to increase PHE WMO production by around 1,000 BOPD with a start-up target in November 2020.
